Our Researcher, Patrick Hall, was featured in ConservativeHome discussing biosecurity measures, which have been thrusted into the spotlight in the wake of COVID-19. He outlines some of the biosecurity weaknesses of the EU which will be mitigated through Britain’s departure from the Union, as well some of the challenges that Brexit poses for biosecurity and recommendations of how to address these.

Patrick summarises the biosecurity regimes of the countries which display best practice, notably Australia and New Zealand. He concludes by making the case for Britain to consider emulating some, if not all, of these measures.
